Q10017 - FAQ: Does the software allow me to print sketches, drawings suitable to be submitted to my local authorities for approval of a building permit?

Big Hammer software provides printed copies of the different designs, but in most cases, the printouts are not sufficient to receive approval and/or building permits from local authorities.

It is important to note that the requirements to obtain a building permit may be different for an individual city, state or region.  Please check with your local authorities to learn what is required for your particular project.

Big Hammer software does not provide blueprint-quality drawings or diagrams of the design.

Big Hammer software uses national building codes to create structures, and does not take local building codes into account when creating structures.  This is because local building codes and requirements will vary throughout the country.
